What we collect, why, and how it's handled — written to be readable, not to bury the details.
Effective: August 2025. Operator: Vision Horizon Enterprises — hello@visionhorizon.enterprises
What we collect
We only collect information you send us. There are two ways that happens on this site:
Contact form
When you submit the classic contact form, we collect your name, email address, an optional business name, your message, and an optional "how did you hear about us" selection. That's it.
AI intake conversation
The intake assistant on our contact page asks a few questions to understand what you're looking for — your name, contact details (name and email or phone), your business, what you need, your timeline, and optionally a budget range. The conversation is a chat interface and you control what you share.
Your conversation is saved so a real person can follow up — see the AI section below for how it's processed.
Voice input
The intake assistant includes an optional microphone button. If you use it, your audio is processed by your browser's built-in speech recognition service (typically Google's service in Chrome, Apple's in Safari). VHE does not receive or store your raw audio — only the text transcript your browser produces. You can type instead and voice input is never required.
AI processing (third-party)
The intake assistant is powered by trusted third-party AI infrastructure (a US-based provider). When you send a message in the chat, your message and the prior conversation history are transmitted to that provider's API to generate the assistant's reply.
Our AI infrastructure provider's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. At the time of writing, they do not use API-submitted conversations to train their models by default.
When the intake conversation ends, we also run a secondary AI pass server-side to extract a structured brief (name, contact info, stated needs, summary) from the transcript. This extraction runs server-side and the result is stored alongside the full transcript on our servers.
Where your data lives
Contact form submissions and intake briefs are stored on our servers hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure in the United States. Data is not replicated to other regions.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertising networks, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. The only third-party that receives your conversation content is our AI infrastructure provider (via the AI processing described above).
Email notifications about new inquiries are sent to our internal team via Resend (a US-based email delivery service). Resend receives the notification content only — name, email, and a summary — not the full transcript.
Cookies and browser storage
This site does not use advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
The intake assistant generates a session identifier when the page loads — a random string used to associate messages in the same conversation. This identifier lives only in JavaScript memory for the duration of your visit and is never written to a cookie or localStorage.
Browser caching of static assets (images, JavaScript, CSS) is handled by standard HTTP caching headers — this is how websites load fast on repeat visits and does not involve tracking.
We may add self-hosted, privacy-first analytics (Umami) in the future. If we do, this notice will be updated before that addition goes live.
Demo sandbox and concept builds
The concept sites linked from our homepage (Ridgeline Roastery, Peak Crew Climbing, Summit Ridge Lodge) are demonstrations of fictional businesses. They exist to show design quality and system capabilities.
The Summit Ridge Lodge concept includes an interactive booking flow (date selection, room selection, confirmation). This flow does not accept real bookings, does not process or store payment information, and does not retain the fictional guest details you enter. All data entered in the demo is local to your browser session and is never sent to our servers. Do not submit real personal information in demo flows.
Your rights and data requests
You can request to view, correct, or delete information you submitted through the contact form or intake assistant by emailing us at hello@visionhorizon.enterprises. Include enough detail to identify your submission (your name, approximate date, and the email address you used). We'll respond within 10 business days.
We retain contact and intake records for up to 2 years to support follow-up and service delivery. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Changes to this notice
If we make material changes — new data collection, new third-party processors, new storage locations — we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. If you're an active client, we'll notify you by email.
Questions? Email hello@visionhorizon.enterprises — we'll reply within one business day.
